Mark Jess, BA, CPA, CGA

Mark completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at The University of Victoria. He went on to complete his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation with CGA-BC in February 2010.

Prior to joining the accounting profession, his work experience included a variety of positions centered around strong customer service. Those positions, along with 6 years of experiences with Trenholme & Company Chartered Accountants and Getz & Burden Certified General Accountants, provided invaluable skills that Mark was able to transfer to key senior financial management positions with Lotus Pacific Investments (asset management), Woodsmere Holdings (apartment construction and management) and MAXIMUS BC Health Inc (government contract management).

Mark has specific strength in the area of budgeting and forecasting that he is able to apply to all clients, personal and corporate alike. He particularly enjoys being able to combine previous experiences in tax, business management and accounting to help small and medium sized companies at all different stages of the life of a business.


Sharon Clark CPA, CA, ACA

Sharon has over 20 years of international and local experience within the accounting profession. After completing her UK Chartered Accountant (ACA) designation in 1991, she moved to Arthur Andersen in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where she worked with a number of large multinational clients. Her 15 year tenure in Dubai also included extensive consulting experience to a diverse range of clients, providing effective strategies and solutions on a wide range of issues, including setting up of management and financial accounting systems.

In 2006, Sharon moved with her family to Victoria, where she achieved her Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2013. She has worked with a number of private and government organisations, with various financial and budgetary roles including project management roles while in government and healthcare industries. She has also headed up the finance function of a highly successful Provincial Government training initiative. In response to the increasing demand from many of our valued clients, she qualified as a Quickbooks Online (QBO) Expert and has trained and provided advice to a number of our QBO clients.

Sharon’s extensive experience has provided her with the ability to deal with complex matters and provide solutions which are right for the client. She firmly believes that this, together with a keen attention to detail and emphasis on client relations, are the key factors in providing excellent customer service to our valued clients.


Monica Nykamp

Monica earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Camosun College. Some highlights of her career include customer service and managerial positions at Budget Rent a Car, Capital 6 Empire Theatres and End of the Roll.

Her ample past work experience in customer service-oriented jobs has given her the ability to build strong, friendly, and professional relationships with clients. She is proficient in the use of applicable technology, programs, and organized development of projects to make handling information effective and efficient.




Crystal Ann Mar, BA

Crystal Ann Mar_Jess and CoCrystal is a recent graduate from Camosun College with a Post Degree Diploma in Accounting.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Victoria with distinction in 2006.  In addition to her education, Crystal has over 15 years of experience in various office administration, customer service and food service industry roles including the last 5 years specifically in various accounting and bookkeeping related positions.

She is currently enrolled in the CPA program and is looking forward to earning her designation over the next few years.
